As the advertisements on the external job boards say this is not only an entry level job for drilling but also for the mining industry. A good amount of people in mining across the world get their start in the industry by ‘throwing rods’ or ‘running bags’ for a drill rig. It is a labor intensive role but it is a rewarding one not only physically but financially as well with a robust career path. When you apply you will receive a PDF explaining the entire process of drilling and where it fits into the greater mining process. As mentioned before many get their start in the industry, it is every bit an apprenticeship that you are in control of from the day you get off the plane.
You must have:

-
The ability to undergo an intense Medical, physical and Drug and alcohol screening process.
-
Obtain or possess a Police Clearance current to with the last 3 months of your application. The above two are important for site access to be granted.
-

-
Any tickets for heavy machinery (especially an HR certification)
-
Any previous underground or mining experience
-
